Halfway Point

Trimble enters league competition at 1-4. Some things history has taught us. The last two times the Tomcats have started 1-4, they have finished 6-4 and won the TVC Hocking Championship. The last time the Tomcats were shut out two consecutive games, the Tomcats finished 6-4, and won the TVC Hocking Championship. Time for the turnaround or as a good friend and Coaching buddy used to say, "It's time to flip it over." The second season starts against the Eastern Eagles on Friday night.

Season So Far

The Tomcats head down to Fairland on Friday Night to take on the 2-2 Dragons. The last time these two teams met, Rusty Martin was on the field for the 'Cats. Fairland has beaten Meigs, and Tolsia (WV), with losses to Portsmouth West and Sheldon Clark (KY). Expect a lot of offense out of this match-up and also expect the Dragons to be on their way, win or lose to a week 10 showdown with Coal Grove for the OVC title. 'Cats need this one for playoff points, because I would venture to guess that Fairland will win at least six games this year, and depending on that last week, seven.

By the way, football is not an individual sport, but through the fourth week of his Junior season, Tyler Dyla is fifth on the all-time career rushing list, and a little over 100 yards from moving up to fourth.
